Frequently asked

Questions about getting online.

Straightforward answers to common questions about building, hosting and managing your website.

I already have a website. How do I transfer it?

A transfer can usually be staged without disturbing the existing live site. If administrative/file access is available, the site can be copied to a new hosting location, updated, reviewed at a temporary location, and tested before the domain is pointed to the new version. The original site remains available during that work.

If direct administrative access is not available, a public-facing site can sometimes still be reconstructed or migrated, although it can require more work and may not include private server-side functions that cannot be accessed.

What about adding more features later?

That is expected. A site can grow with the business, and many features can be added without rebuilding everything. More advanced custom applications may require additional planning.

Will I have full administrative access to my site?

Yes. Site owners receive appropriate administrative access to the hosting account, files, databases and email features included with their plan.

How are your design fees so low?

We build long-term customer relationships, keep designs straightforward and easy to navigate, and use repeatable techniques that make consistent pages easier to build and maintain.

A website does not become better merely because it has more animation or visual effects. Clear structure, readable information, fast performance and easy navigation usually matter more.

How long will it take to get my site up and running?

A typical site can generally be launched within two weeks, depending on its size. A working design can often be established before all content is complete. Timing ultimately depends on complexity, how much existing material must be migrated, how quickly business information is supplied, and whether custom functions are involved.

I'm not a computer expert. Can I really run a website?

Yes. Many service-business sites need little routine maintenance beyond keeping contact and service information current. Domain email can be used directly or forwarded to another mailbox. For information that changes often—such as specials or schedules—a custom update interface can be provided.

The goal is to make routine website tasks understandable to someone who can comfortably use email and ordinary web forms.

What about canceling my plan?

Setup and design fees and domain registration are non-refundable. Hosting includes a 30-day satisfaction guarantee; cancellations after that period are not prorated.

What am I waiting for?

Browse the site and ask questions. There is no obligation to have an initial conversation, and the goal is personalized help choosing a sensible path to get the site online smoothly.
